Icarus is designed to calculate and display the relationship between resistance and temperature for Standard Platinum Resistance Thermometers between the triple point of Hydrogen and the freezing point of Silver. All calculations are performed using the equations and values defined in the International Temperature Scale of 1990 (ITS-90).
Icarus is distributed solely through Isothermal Technology Limited, so visit their web site to download a demo copy, read about the features of Icarus, or purchase a copy.
The purpose of this page is to bring together additional resources for Icarus. At the time of writing, Icarus has been on release for under a week, so there isn't much here; in time, however, a fault log, a wish list, a FAQ, and additional reports will be available on these pages.
We at Scat Limited can create customised reports for you... at a price. For more information, please e-mail us at: Icarus@scat.demon.co.uk - prices will vary according to the complexity of the reports, but are likely to be around £500.
If you have created a report for Icarus and would like to make it available to other users, please e-mail the files to us at: Icarus@scat.demon.co.uk, and we will make it available for download with appropriate credit.
Be the first to ask a question! If you have any questions that aren't answered by the manual, e-mail them to us at: Icarus@scat.demon.co.uk. Don't forget - pressing F1 within any dialogue in Icarus will show you the relevant section of the manual.
We are commited to making Icarus as user-friendly and fault free as possible. If you find any errors, or have any suggestions for features that would be useful in future versions, please report them to us at: Icarus@scat.demon.co.uk. It would be useful if you could tell us the version of Windows you are using, and the version of Icarus, whoch you will find in the About Box.
